After the Stories
10*03*10: rdths lcyshprapth aniothrs! That's a secret message 'in code!' Last night shone bright in my mind, and made me want to get up and do some theatre. The name-game with the cute ball jogs the mind, I'm convinced. You have to remember names and coordinate. Tricky. Glad I didn't have any panic moments. . . . The painting/touch up thing was demanding - how to transmit a message thru touch, how to receive an idea by being felt - almost like telepathy. The touched ones envisioned colours - brill. + it was fab to glimpse a Picasso . . . I had fun telling my story - it was theraputic to talk about my cat Toby. The intro was all about warming up before the partly sad tale. I enjoyed all the other stories - Amanda was aiming at humour, Liza's one was well-amusing, loved to hear Andrew talk about his marathon run, found Lucy's narrative quite funny . . . Theatre is ultimately all about telling stories.

17 03 10: wldnbble - hllrdrs! (clue: vowels missing!) What does it take to find the ideal stage? Neptune St bus-stop yard glowed in my mind and physically when we were there. I found the description of the other stages attractive - the two by the river, one where we'd performed in 2000. Must put my thinking cap on for next week's stage-search venture.
Enjoyed the chair exercise - moving from pose to pose - fast or slow. . . Felt like I was going places as parts of my body led on. Then I told a little story of a guy who walked from the groin! OKAY!! . . . Lee and Liza made me feel like a winner with my chest all puffed up. Only in the world of imagination, right?!
Led by the Trunk
24_03_10: The rain nearly marred our plans last night - but we took a chance and struck gold. It was educational to check three locations - 2 of them were familiar to me. The alley could allow a procession of people to enjoy our play. The river-side spot provides the sights and sounds of the famous water-way. The tide was quite atmospheric. I suppose we need to do the Roll Up, Roll Up exercise on location. Then we can REALLY draw on all the aspects of our stage. The Church spot was thought-provoking - a religious, historic spot (if we include the old building nearby.) . . . Earlier, liked the ball exercises. They're good for building up rhythm, pace and camaraderie. . . . We missed the Elephant that went thru our route afterwards (ending up in Elephant Lane) - I believe somebody filmed that!!!
Anything is possible
Guess what? Maybe we could get an actual elephant to help us Occupy our space ...

Riv Div
31:03:10- I quite liked that spot by the river. It's near where I stand and watch the Thames before attending rehearsals at the Bubble. A story comes to mind: A group gathers to venerate the river. They could be river-worshippers! They stand and sing the river's praise - include it, in a big way, in the tale they weave. Maybe they use chairs (or imaginary chairs) to 'furnish' their story . . .
The Places That Speak Volumes
19_04_10: How swiftly 3 weeks have zoomed past. It's a clever idea - get some natural settings or stages to shape a piece of theatre. In my chosen place - (Neptune St bus stop) - a few local residents could get together and have a summer outdoor party - too much boozing and way too much shouting! In the park by Time and Talents, there could be a ritual enacted - some form of religious ceremony, involving the church building on top of which there could be a devotee showering petals. In the lane by the river, there could be a procession or a protest. On the steps to the river, there could be a summer stage show involving singers and dancers who sing nature's praise.
I hope everybody can make it tomorrow. See ya soon!
3 Pieces, A Song and Drumbeats
21:04:10 - It was great to do something different last night - I mean the improvised stuff by the river that Lucy, Ian, Lee and I got up to. We were FREE to do whatever we liked, and make any sounds we wanted. The end result wasn't BAD - Joolz and the others liked our little playing about. . . . I enjoyed the petals piece, specially the fact that I could join in - the audience could sing along and later throw petals like the players. . . Joolz' piece was fun too. The singing . . . and later the curved benches episode. Moving to a rhythm - we all have one, in our everyday lives. We all have a drum-beat or theme music to our many movements/moments, every day. . . . Loved it that Peth dropped by. . . Now, I'm trying to be an ancient school teacher - ahem, pay attention, boys and girls!
Muhammad
As everyone who contributes here is call Muhammad I will do the same. I like this session especially the group sneaking off leaving the audience to finish the show, i.e. as the elephant arrived.
Elephant Late
There's LUCY who wrote in recently - so not just me: Muhammad! Give us your name 'Audience to cast' - we'd love to know . . . Oh, so an elephant really did arrive?!! Hooray!
message for Andrew

I will be on the lower road at Charlton by Maryon Park possibly wearing a Bubble t shirt. Good Luck I haer that it's going to be 22 degrees!
