Brindishe Federation
We have a new schools project starting this week with Creative Partnerships. The project at Brindishe Green and Brindishe Lee schools explores the importance of happiness and positive emotions in our lives and will aim to connect that with the UN Rights of the Child
Brindishe federation
Had a really enjoyable visit to the work in the two Brindishe federation schools this week. The young people are using creative activities to enquire about personal happiness and the responsibilty we have to the happiness of other - clear themes that were arising - pets, physical activity, the security of family, play and friendship, technology (particular in the form of console games) and food. I started to wonder about the difference between those things that give us a momentary good feeling, from those that engendered a longer term happiness (or security. Next week we are having a performance of understanding for the three classes to share their findings. We will send the results to the GOVERNMENT!
Performance of Understanding
Tuesday 15th children from Brindishe Green and Brindishe Lee will come together to share their findings about happiness. We will share our findings with the Office of National Statistics - did you know that the government are carrying out a major consultation?

Message in metal
It was all going well. Pupils from both schools met at Trinity Secondary school to share their findings on happiness, only to be interrupted by park keeper from Manor House Gardens who had found something in a tree.
We went to find 5 metal cubes strung in the branches. In the rain we cut them down and examined them. Each cube was identical but on each side was letters and numbers. It read..
