Research
Speech Bubbles goes from strength to strength and I am really pleased to let you know that we have uploaded research findings onto the website. The report itself is over 68 pages long, so if you are interested in a quick summary of the findings please check out the summary document (4 pages). We have also uploaded the evaluation report on our Speak Out programme and for all you practitioners out there have a look at the practice sharing document.
Feedback
It would be great to get any feedback from any of you who may have had a chance to dip into the research stuff, either through this message board or directly to me on adam@londonbubble.org.uk.

Speech bubbles
The third term of this years Speech Bubbles starts next week in 8 schools. We are researching ways in which we can add an accredited training module to the programme for Learning Mentors and Drama practitioners - if you have any ideas on this please get in touch adam@londonbubble.org.uk.
Engagement Prog
Our engagement programme meet again today. 10 young people from five southwark schools all come to us on a tuesday to devise a piece of theatre for performance in 3 weeks time, they are also doing the arts award. They have had input from a puppeteer and done some great music work with Ed Thomas - seems the final piece is going to explore characters with super powers, superman and wonder woman at the Bubble!
future
things are brewing - a nod and a wink about future funding, some interest in accreditation for the drama practitioners and learning mentors and schools and young people wanting more speech bubbles - hooray - every week magical theatre is being made in schools across southwark and a couple in lewisham and next year is the year of communication!
drama and communication
Our work using drama to support communication in young children is continuing to grow - plans to deliver joint training with Speech and Language Therapists in Lewisham, working in partnership with the Pupil Development Centres in Southwark and early discussions with the Communication Trust about the year of communication 2011.
