The sharings are coming
The participatory groups are sharing their work on 1st, 2nd and 3rd of April. The 5-7\'s will be hosting an open workshop on the Tuesday at 5.30. At 7.30 on the same evening the 3 youth theatres are showing the work they\'ve developed over the last two terms.
On the Wednesday evening the Adult Group are showing the Red Red Shows and the Bubble Band will be playing a selection of tunes.
I\'ve seen and heard bits and pieces from most of the groups and there\'s some fine stuff going on.
People can use this message board to discuss and comment on the process and performances.
My Greetings
My greetings to all Bubble folk. I've missed the message-boards. But now the Bubble has bounced back - congratulations on a swift recovery! It was good to get directions from Peth Wed. evening. I think we'll need someone to prompt us on the night of the 2nd of April. Perhaps Simon. Iris might be too entangled in the story (acting.) Ian has a massive task ahead of him - I wish him success with all his lines, cues, thoughts (or no-thoughts!) Hope we all make the best of the next two weeks. Good luck and let the good times roll!
Break a leg!
Tues. 1st April, '08. Hmmmmm . . . This is indeed a very quiet Message-board. Wish all fellow actors every success for tomorrow's show. Break a leg! The following is a poem on Franvera: Franvera is silent/ She no longer dances/ She has become quiet/ That's what the wide world says/ Franvera is silent/ She used to smile and laugh/ She used to skip and play/ The village knew her well/ She lit up the dull days/ Franvera is silent/ She put on red red shoes/ And could not take them off/ Red Beard was kind to her/ But later he was rough/ Franvera is silent/ She's now with the eagles/ She's now so far away/ All around it's raining/ The trees all mourn and sway.
Well Done
Just wanted to say well done to all the youth theatre groups on their fantastic work at the sharing this evening. It was lovely to come back to the Bubble a couple of weeks after leaving and watch such entertaining performances, and experience such a great atmosphere in the rehearsal room.
Well done everyone.
Red Shoes
Thanks to Peth, Simon, Sylvan & rest of Bubble team for all your help with Red Shoes. To rest of cast you were most supportive, focused cast I\'ve worked with!!
Red Shoes
Thanks Ian exactly what i wanted to say! Thankyou Simon, Sylvan and Peth for you help and support and great direction. Well done to everyone for your hard work and committment to this wonderful story.
Sincere Thanks
Sun. 06/04/08: Had a great time acting in Red Shoes. Sincere thanks to Peth, Simon and the Bubble staff, plus all my fellow actors and the brilliant audience. All the best for the future.
Revival
26 May '08: Hi, folks. Real glad Red Shoes is being revived. I'm gonna launch into line practicing today. Hope we can manage well, without Mary. Will we still need prompting - it's possible, right? Hope Sylvan is available on the 4th. How're you guys doing with the lines? Ian? Wish you all every success and hope to see some of you at Wednesday's workshop. Ta-ta!
Like the Last Time
27/05/08: Time is passing quickly and trepidation grows . . . Sweat beaks out . . . can I deliver like the last time?! Shush, it's rude to talk of such things at a party! Gotta do better. Ian, I hope you know ALL your lines by heart, mate. Never red, red is not a modest colour! Hope ticket-sales have picked up. That would be the icing. I pray everything works out smoothly.
Pre-show Panic
29/05/08: Gotta practice more. Mary come back! Lee, Lee! Franvera is dancing for her country . . . Ed, Ian, Ed, Ian, Andrew, Andrew . . . Everybody . . . let's be a 100%. We can do it (stage-fright increases!) Justine (my neighbour,) Mamta (my niece,) Anna (my daughter,) . . . HELP! I mean . . . let's give it our all. Um, um . . . gotta practice more!! {n.b. I've bought two guns and another whistle}
