Those boxes & dance, mad can't wait to see the full spectacle!
Cooking
I didn't know people were watching me at my cooking - I'm flattered! Are the movements passing too swiftly? I mean, from the house to the bus, to the tube to the lift. Maybe we can take more time. Play's gotta last at least 1 hour!! Okay, after me . . . Walk, walk, elbow, elbow, headache, shower, towel, air-guitar . . .!
M & I
M & I
I like the interpretation of the song lyrics M. We - the band (in full orchestral costume no less!) are also playing the song on instruments, with a beautifully soft beginning by violin and guitar - it's going to sound lovely.
I was also wondering about the connection of the main story to the rest of the performance, but I'm sure all will be revealed the more we see it.
You may have time to dawdle when on the tube, but the crowds don't often let me! That's why I cycle.
See you tonight for more hot and humid rehearsing.

Costumes
Alfie, I've just checked with Lottie, the Stage Manager. She said that your group's costumes haven't been made yet but they'll be getting round to them next week.
Rain
Officially bored of it now - getting worried that we're going to be rained off - boo.
Someone cheer me up.

sunday:
Interesting seeing the session today, while hard to set & alarmingly close to performance, some very positive signs especially when the walls started moving and the music, a pity cast of Dong will be Donging while we get the rest underway as they & band made tremendous difference in being quick & responsive when some of us were flagging. the story is getting clearer, though we will have to project well when we act this outside as some were difficult to hear today. Cast did keep abreast of things but we need all hands for the remaining rehearsals as poor communication & thinking will stick out and mar a performance that could be really good.
Thanks to Dongers, band & stage managers & production team.

Monday
I like the way the story seems to be feeling its way forward.
Together
Only a few days to go till our show in the parks . . . Can't wait, let's be honest! Surmount the walls together . . . the audience, all together, will get to explore the maze - a song sounding outside. I like the whole thing about the musicians leaving their position and moving down-stage . . . The wall-holders have a lot on their hands, to carry off. Now they're doors, now lifts, the next moment a narrow passage, etc etc. Is it REALLY going to come pouring down, next wk? I'm praying hard for a better climate.
It'll Be Great
It'll be great when all dancers are perfectly in step, doing their thing, without Linda leading. That box on my head makes me all hot! Hoping there will be a breeze in the parks. We must memorize the maze-song and sing lustily. Look forward to doing our movement bits with music - the band's sound is pleasing. I keep thinking that Ian's voice should echo during his story - does anyone have an echo-machine?! My Old Man is proceeding gracefully to his grave. After the Scoop, he wishes to be buried in a giant toad-hole!
Working outside
Have been having an interesting time trying to run rehearsals in different locations. The work within the rehearsal room has been pretty good but when we've gone out it's either rained or we've/I've lost focus. But felt tonight we started to crack it. Everyone concentrated and helped eachother (including leaders). As a result we got into detail and it's the detail that could blow the audience away.
