Bye Laban
Fri. 03/08/07: Hi, people. Last night was freeing. The new Youngest shone. Yes, I liked the animation from the other children. I thought I was prompter at box-dancing. I suppose the song could be louder somehow, don't know how. The Colditz jumpers were nice to watch. The band has been consistent. Let's root for 2 more cool shows . . .
Laban 2nd
Got to echo Andrew & Muhammad, no mics did free up the cast, more energy, even though everyone seemed very tired at start & many little technical things went wrong including remarkable escape of Ed chef who been locked in the building. Younger story tellers did more without their mics & whole cast had more energy & focus. I wonder should our watching of the story show more reaction to the story. We're disappointed when the whistle goes should we be reacting more to the story as we hear it.
Two issues:
The big box for the box dance is still too small, last night we could'nt move at back at all.
It was more spirited last night & had more animation, got more laughs which was good as the paying audience seemed to enjoy it, but we need to show focus & commitment right to the end, it isn't very professional to crack up laughing during the singing section, yes something was funny but the audience deserve 100% commitment. God I go on, obviously missing work. Best whole all together show with the bubble that I've experienced.
Oxleas woods
Hi Everyone!
Loved the show . I was sad not to be up there with you but really enjoyed watching the magic happen. It hadn't changed much either, much better of course than when i was in it!You all worked really hard. It was nice seeing friendly faces and thank you to all those of you with your kind comments. Sorry Lee, my daughter said you were trying to talk to me, i didnt realise sorry! Hi to freinds i didnt stay to talk to. Thank you Peth for inviting me tomorrow to the party , but i'll take a rain check this thime, it should be for all those in the show.Have a fab time!! A kind offer.Hope to see you all in September. Love Justine xxx
Hi Justine & Oxleas
Sorry I missed you Justine, hope you are ok?Glad you enjoyed show. tonight seemed slightly unsettled & we were alittle thrown by different space & few missing faces. Tomorrow is a last chance before September & it would be good if we could up the energy & enjoy the show by giving some extra focus & drive to it. Some of us need to be a little more cooperative with each other & to put a little more expression into the bits were we aren't centre stage, as it all matters. We know the site now & that it is windy & slopes, we do need to make the most of our last opportunity. The audience did seem to enjoy it but many of cast felt we could have given it more. The wind makes projection an issue so we all need to speak up.
Last but not last
It has been great working on this one. Great team & real sense of having made progress together. Thanks to all the Bubble family, professionals, participants, technical, stage managers, design & costumes, directors, workshop leaders.Front of house. You name them, I've probably missed someone, stay in touch!
A Big Thanks
Mon. 6 Aug '07. A big thanks to everyone at the Bubble for the last 6 shows. The Office Workers/ Chefs briefly got lost in the wood before the play began and that had ME worried! I thought things went a tad bit smoother than Oxleas 1, though I did forget one move in the last dance. Thanks Peth, for the whole 40 Walls experience. To the Scoop!
Artistic
06 Aug. '07: It's good to be directed by Peth, the Artistic Director himself. I think his input gives me the will to think about the characters I'm playing. The way to say EXQUISITE! To be somewhat timid, confronted by raging children! Etc. May the Bubble cause live forever!
Many Hellos
Many hellos. Hello, Justine. Hope we're teaming up for the new Adult Drama project. Hello, Dan. Hope your thumb is healing well. Hello, Ian. Informative messages, mate. Hello, Andrew. Bon jour, mon ami! Hello, Amanda. Room 6 is so lonely these days. Hello, Eric. Parting is such sweet sorrow! Hello, Peth. What is Urban Dreams going to be about? Hello, hello, hello. And goodbye, for now!
Well Done!
I have been doing my work placement with Bubble since April and I have loved working on this project, sadly Sunday was my last day-however I hope to come to Scoop, to see everyone! My placement has been brilliant and its been great to meet everyone and have the chance to work with you. Well done with the shows, everyones hard work really paid off and I thought every show was fantastic! Evereyone deserves a rest now, but will hopefully see everyone at The Scoop. Take care and well done again for an amazing week. All the best. Soph
Positive feed back
Had some very positive feedback from a 1st time Bubbler ( from my last school), asking lots of questions & clearly intrigued & drawn in by the show. So good one. Informative Muhammad? Stating the baldly obvious possibly. Have a good summer, looking forward to pursuing drama beast again next term!
