Life Goes On
Hi. The Old Man had a cold for a couple of days, but now he's better. His two older children brought him hot drinks and medicine, but the Youngest just got him a chicken! After recovering, the Old Man tried to play Colditz but only broke the neighbour's fence, which will now take a lot to mend . . . Life goes on!
Maze
Tues. 14.08.07: The Old Man is beginning to forget what he should say in response to his children, as his memory is rather poor (!) The other day, he went into a garden maze and got lost. Luckily, he was singing 'unlock your mind, you will be free,' so that the servants could find him. The Office Worker tried to swim with with his face inside a box and bumped into a swimming nurse. Oops!
Repetitive
Sun. 19 Aug, '07. Hello, from the Old Man and the Office Worker. They can't wait for the feathers to start blowing again, east, west and straight down. In the first box dance, faceless individuals show how they plod thru their repetitive days. The Old Man joins in the dance everytime, and is actually right at the back, sitting on his chair. He hopes to meet the Mayor at the Scoop!
old man
This old man is forgetting his lines as well. He has to trawl back into his memory.
Start
Start again! Repeat after me: As children we played a game called Colditz . . .
Anniversary
Tue. 28 Aug. '07. Yesterday was the Old Man's wedding anniversary. He got many presents - a new hat, rings and carpets. The Youngest gave him a new chicken! The Old Man treated himself by going to the Isle of Wight and attempting to fight the tide. That's where a feather blew, you see. The Old Man and his wife played Colditz and sang Not Every Wall Needs a Door. Half way thru the song he had a coughing fit. Oh, dear!
Lear
Mon. 3 Sept. '07. August has elapsed and Sept. is here with promises of a golden autumn. The Old Man goes thru a few of his lines, now and again. He has seen King Lear and considers the early Lear to be naive. No one is as smart as the Old Man, see! He dreams of playing colditz and trains youngsters to play the game, on both grass and concrete. His Youngest plans to take up chicken farming!
