In October 2005, a company of young people under the direction of London Bubble Theatre Company used theatre to make their voices heard on the issue of youth crime.

Violent crime committed by young people against young people was the theme of the project. The show was researched in a series of consultation theatre workshops in the secondary schools to which it toured, in which pupils explored topical issues, such as 'happy slapping', homophobia and underage sex, through theatre techniques.

The research brought back from the schools formed the basis of the show, which was created by a company of participants from London Bubble's youth theatres who are neither in education or employment.

The show tells the story of a violent crime committed by a young person against another young person, and what happens next. It asks the audience to consider at what point, if something violent or abusive happens to you, do you turn to someone for help?  Who do you turn to?  What is a 'victim', a 'bully', a 'rescuer'?  These questions are intended to challenge stereotypes which prevent young people from seeking help in the event of becoming the victim of a crime.

The performance was followed by a Forum Theatre workshop, in which audience members get the opportunity to replay the action and suggest how people could have acted differently.
