A transitional project, performed by young people in primary schools

As many students play an anxious waiting game to see if they have been accepted into the secondary schools of their choice, London Bubble has created a unique and innovative transitional project to Primary Schools in Southwark. 

Jumping the Gap was created in direct response to Southwark teachers and school workers who identified that year 6 pupils are not sufficiently supported in their transition to secondary school.  London Bubble investigated this, speaking to young people about their hopes and fears, worries and dreams about secondary school – and developed a theatre project which provides an arena for them to have their voices heard and feel empowered as they ‘Jump The Gap'.
