What makes a place feel like home?
What’s London like as a new home?
My Home was a piece of verbatim theatre, telling the true stories of people who had travelled from Poland, Somalia, Kurdistan and Vietnam to make London their home.

A research team from Bubble was assembled to make contact with, and interview, a range of people from these communities, about what ‘home’ means to them.  All of the interviews were recorded with the permission of the interviewees, transcribed and then fed back to the creative team at London Bubble in weekly sessions.

The piece was performed and toured in four houses in Camberwell, Purley, Sidcup and Tower Hamlets in March & April 2006.  It took the form of a promenade performance with the audience moving from room to room.

My Home was Directed by Karen Tomlin, Designed by Pip Nash with Dramaturgy by Sara Clifford and South Design by Lewis Gibson.
