Performance, practical creative approaches, exploration and discussion

A youth led professional development day for adults who work with at risk and vulnerable  young people. This includes youth workers, teachers, case workers, therapists, creative practitioners, mentors…

61% of young people regularly feel stressed and more than a quarter say they regularly feel hopeless, the overall wellbeing of young people in the UK is at its lowest ever reported level’  2018 Macquarie Index published by the Princes Trust

With the support of London Youth and in Collaboration with the Wellbeing Faculty of the Institute for the Arts Therapy in Education we have been working with young people to explore the issues that are of concern to them and impact on their wellbeing.

The day will include:

·   An introduction by Jo Quennel, Director of the Wellbeing Faculty at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education
·   A forum theatre performance by the Bubble Young Theatre Makers
·   An introduction to the practical creative exercise that led to the performance
·   Young people’s views on how we can support their wellbeing

We will close the day with a practical exploration of support for the wellbeing of the professionals who are working with young people.
