The inspiration for the stories we tell comes directly from the young people we work with.
London Bubble’s unique We Need To Act On… process places the voice of young people at its heart offering a creative platform for exploring potentially difficult themes. We currently use it in schools and youth settings including Southwark Youth Offending Service as well as at the core of the Bubble Young Theatre Makers training programme.
We ask young people what they think we need to act on right now and make theatre inspired by their answers, thus validating the social concerns and observations they share.
The ideas and suggestions generated in these sessions are subsequently turned into theatre either by the group themselves or by Bubble Young Theatre Makers.
You can commission us to explore a particular theme or feed into our next piece of forum theatre for young people by young people by becoming a partner organisation.
For the local authority, we have used this process to explore barriers to school attendance with young people.
In the corporate sector, we have used this process to create work with and for the BAME Network at Norton Rose Fulbright.
