Bubble’s intergenerational, ‘vernacular theatre‘ projects bring together adults, children and artists of all ages to explore a theme or major world event. These projects are open to all ages but children aged 11 and under should to be accompanied by an older member of their family. There is no audition.
Our current project is called Charting the Mayflower
If you are interested in local history or have a story of migration to share you might like to get involved.
We are looking for volunteers to help us explore the history and contemporary resonances of the Mayflower, and share it with the wider community in North Southwark.
Workshops run on Thursday evenings from 6.30-8.30pm at Bubble HQ, SE16 4JD.
There will be no workshop in half term week, 21st February 2019
There is no cost for this group but you can support our ongoing work of building theatre through community and community through theatre by making a donation HERE
Previous intergenerational projects at London Bubble
London Bubble has been producing theatre performances with intergernational companies since 2000.
Our project for 2017-18 was an investigation into Primary schools – for many the first institution we engage with and retain a position in our memory often as places of nurture, friendship and creativity. Our performance company and choir helped us research and develop the material we gathered and, alongside a professional creative team, created a large scale public performance on the site of the Old Lewisham & Southwark College between 10-25th March 2018.

In 2014-15 Hopelessly De-Voted explored engagement and disengagement with the political system and was performed between March – June 2015.
