Community performance on the Brandon Estate
Playing Safe is a targeted intervention against serious youth violence which uses theatre to engage year 6 children at risk of exploitation.
This event will include two special performances;
- A devised play by a group of year 6 primary school leavers who will have spent Monday-Friday creating a play about the things that matter to them
- Playing Safe; a short, interactive play by actors from London Bubble Theatre
Where and When?

In a community where serious youth violence poses a serious threat, who is keeping 11 year old Ali safe?
The audience are invited to help Ali navigate life at home, school and in the community in the wake of a tragic event.
Over the last 5 years, Playing Safe has been performed in primary schools in SE5 and SE17 which serve the community around the Brandon Estate. This is rare public performance and a fantastic opportunity for residents and professionals from local services to come together and discuss important themes including risk, grooming, safety and wellbeing.
Professionals from Southwark Family Early Help and Youth Justice Services will be there to discuss the issues in the play and support available in the borough.
No need to book, just show up!
