Over the last eight years London Bubble Theatre has developed a programme of participatory theatre interventions for young people in the criminal justice system in partnership with Southwark YOS. With support from The Challenge London Fund managed by A New Direction, we commissioned an extensive evaluation report of this ‘Creating Justice’ programme. Over a two year period, freelance researchers Ellie Mendez Sayer and Sophie Reid conducted focus groups and interviews with London Bubble and Southwark YOS staff, partners and young people, collecting information about the aims, methods and impact of the Creating Justice projects.

On the 24th February 2022, the report was officially ‘launched’ at the Creating Justice Conference at Coram in central London. The programme for the event included:

The event was interactive, with attendees joining in with discussions and activity and a ‘live scribe’. All attendees took away a London Bubble tote bag with a branded pen and a copy of the Creating Justice report and literature review.

Massive congratulations on a brilliant conference - loved the interaction with the audience and the way you brought the practice to life. Impressive research and I'm sure much of it can be used in the future.
