Since 1972, London Bubble Theatre has been at the forefront of community theatre practice. Today we specialise in making theatre with children, young people and older adults who may not otherwise engage with arts and cultural opportunities. We remove barriers to participation which makes for a more diverse and equitable community of theatre makers. Are you a freelance drama practitioner looking to get involved?

Training

Our training courses are an ideal opportunity for practitioners, teachers and students to upskill and gain insight into Bubble’s collaborative theatre-making practice.

Led by highly experienced Bubble staff and built around our core values of creativity, community and care, you will experience first-hand how we generate a safe and inclusive environment for participants to be creative, express themselves and explore the stories that matter to them.

Courses may focus on certain techniques or how we make theatre with specific community groups. Check back throughout the year to see what we have on offer.

The costs associated with these training courses feed directly back into the ongoing costs of running a charity, enabling us to continue making theatre with children, young people and older adults. If cost is a barrier to you participating, please contact us.

We employ a lot of freelance artists across our projects and are always keen to hear from freelance theatre practitioners who share our values. Click here to see if we have any current vacancies.

Space for R&D

If you are an artist with an idea to develop, speak to us about using our space for R&D. We are particularly keen to support theatre makers from under-represented demographics and those making socially motivated work that helps increase the diversity of the sector.
