Creating Justice is a research led programme looking at theatre-based interventions and activities to support children and young people who are at risk of being involved in, or currently have experience of, the criminal justice system. The project includes our Playing Safe project (for primary schools in Southwark) and Way into Work & Creative Voices (at Southwark YOS), as well as CPD training in communication and Trauma informed practice for frontline staff across the partnership.
The project, running from 2019 – 2021 is being led by London Bubble and works in partnership with Southwark Family Early Help Service, Southwark Young Offenders Service, Surrey Square Primary School, Youth Ink and Metropolitan Police Service.
The programme has received funding from A New Direction’s Challenge London fund and this is matched by partnership investment from London Borough of Southwark, Brook Trust and Metropolitan Police Service Southwark and Lambeth Gangs Team.
