Tales From The Thames
We're looking for a group of twenty 13-17-year-olds who live locally to create and perform a brand-new play sharing their stories about Bermondsey!
Brought to life in just one week, this youth-led performance will dive into what makes its young people call Bermondsey their home.
Whether it’s an imagined journey to the past, wild tales of the present, or fantastical dreams of the future, this story will be entirely devised by its young people to empower their voices.
At the end of the week, the group will perform their show to friends, family and the public outside in Kings Stairs Garden.
The programme is FREE and lunch is provided.
To take part you must:
- Be 13 to 17 years old.
- Live, go to school or have a connection to Bermondsey.
Devising & rehearsals
- Monday 17th to Thursday 20th August, 11am - 4pm
- Friday 21st August, 11am – 5pm (includes performance)
- London Bubble Theatre, SE16 4JD
Performance
- Friday 21st August
- 4pm - 4.30pm
