Why is Bubble the passion project that made you commit your time, effort and expertise?

London Bubble do great work for its surrounding communities and beyond. They put the people at the forefront of their creative practices by making them creative leaders in the projects that London Bubble has to offer. The organisation encourages leadership, confidence and creative exploration of whatever communities bring to the table, including a widespan of ages and varying demographics too. As an actor and student in Social and Cultural Anthropology, why wouldn’t I want to get involved in committing my efforts to an organisation that merges my knowledge in acting and communities together?!

What makes a great trustee?

Patience: take time to understand the different items of interest within an organisation, and take time to understand your responses to them.

What is your theatre space and why?

Brixton House is great! Like London Bubble, they really blend being a theatre venue and community space quite well (some would argue that they’re both the same thing!). It excites me seeing the work they put on link directly to the community it lives in, and they do different workshops in the evenings too! I did a djembe drumming class there once. I need to find time to go again!
